Business Analyst Career !
Its really important to understand the kind of responsibility involved with this profile. People with good communication skills is always a plus and also the lot who are from Engineering colleges. Well, times have changed I see a lot of Non-IT people are pursuing the Business Analyst Career too.
We all are from the some or the other background and working for respective domains. To name a few Banking,Insurance, Healthcare, Automobiles, IT etc. I would say half the job is done when you are good in what you are doing that is your domain knowledge and experience.
Its important that you get trained for this role to understand it even better and fill the gaps by upgrading your skills. Well Train hard, trust me it pays off. Its a good practice to spend time with people who are already working as BA’s. Perform business analysis on a dummy project end to end and yes by applying your domain knowledge….like I said before half the job is done when you are good in your domain.
Its equally important to crack the interviews, for some it may take few attempts more but eventually you will understand the knack on how to go about it. It’s the start that matters the most. Get your hands on whatever you can start as, even as a Junior BA. Once you are involved in a live project you will be at ease for all the hard work you have done earlier.
Be persistent and positive …….Tags: BA
